Actorise 40 mcg injection, containing Darbepoetin alfa, is an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA) used to treat anemia associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD) or chemotherapy. It acts as a synthetic form of erythropoietin, stimulating bone marrow to produce red blood cells. Actorise is a recombinant human erythropoietin analog created using genetic engineering. It directly binds to erythropoietin receptors on progenitor stem cells in the bone marrow. By mimicking erythropoietin, it stimulates the production and differentiation of red blood cells (erythropoiesis), increasing hemoglobin and hematocrit levels in the blood.
