Description
Leucovorin 50 mg injection is primarily used to reduce the toxicity of methotrexate (“leucovorin rescue”) and other folic acid antagonists. It is also combined with 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) to treat colorectal cancer and used to treat megaloblastic anemia caused by folic acid deficiency. It is administered intravenously or intramuscularly.
