Description
Hepcvel is an antiviral medication combining Sofosbuvir (400 mg) and Velpatasvir (100 mg), primarily used to treat chronic Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections.
The combination of Sofosbuvir and Velpatasvir works by targeting specific proteins the Hepatitis C virus requires to multiply. By blocking these proteins, the medication stops the virus from replicating and spreading, allowing the virus to be cleared from the blood over the course of treatment (typically 12 weeks).
