Metabolism: Zopiclone is heavily metabolized in the liver, primarily via oxidation and demethylation by the cytochrome P450 system (CYP3A4 and CYP2C8), into two main metabolites (one of which possesses weak pharmacological activity).
Half-Life & Excretion: It has an elimination half-life of approximately 3.5 to 6.0 hours. It is primarily excreted through the kidneys approx 80% in the form of metabolites, with a small amount excreted in feces
